Project 2B: Double Exposure
My intention for this creation is to apply the unique shape of refraction light on the right eye photo. I first add a gradient layer to adjust the colour of the right eye photo into grayscale, then overlay it with the refraction light by using hard light mode and lowering the opacity. I also erase some of the unnecessary parts other than the refraction light after overlapping.
Week 5: Double Exposure Practical Exercise

My plan is to move that pastry from figure 1.5 to figure 1.4, placing it together with other food on the table.

REFLECTION
Project 2 is a very nice experience to learn more about using Photoshop to manipulate photos, especially doing all the digital imaging exercises has helped me to quick learning the use of the tools on Photoshop. I also noticed that my skills of using the tools have developed by doing the exercises, I become more familiar and comfortable with using Photoshop to edit photos, my speed of editing photos also become faster than before. Learning double exposure is a very interesting exploration for me, since I found it is a quite useful and practical technique to apply to any kind of photo editing. I did face several struggles during this project, I found that it is quite difficult to satisfy with the photo editing sometimes, because I always feel that there is something unnatural about my edited photos: the lighting, the shadow, or the colour balance. At some point the editing process became a little bit exhausting since I can't reach the expectation in my mind.
