REFLECTION
Experience: Learning typography is a very special experience for me, it is glad to learn about the knowledge behind it as a beginner in learning design. The creation process of every assignment has its own challenging parts, it is essential to spend time to create every piece of them, while also need to be smart in managing the time for avoiding spending too much time on a part but ignoring the other parts. One of the most interesting parts of learning typography is definitely the typographic terminology, that is also the significant part that made me realise there are so many details behind every single letter and how are they constructed.

Observations: I found that small details can affect everything easily. Some fonts do look the very similar and almost the same, but when zooming it and observing it closely, there are actually differences between them, such as the thickness of strokes, difference of x-height, etc. Same with arranging text layout, just a widow and orphan can easily ruin the whole layout, so focusing on small details is quite important.

Findings: Before learning typography, I always adore some aesthetically pleasing types but never really deeply observed them, I would say learning this module has definitely improved my sensitivity to focus on the details. I also learned to be critical and sensitive with my own design, although the process is quite painful since I found it especially almost impossible to feel satisfied with my own design, but it is what makes me learn to improve.
